AdButler roles & user accounts

Each AdButler account can have only one Administrator, but you can have an unlimited number of user accounts. As an Administrator, you can give users certain permissions by creating roles. A role is a set of permissions that you can apply to multiple users.

You can also create publisher and advertiser accounts that are limited to a particular publisher or advertiser.

In this guide, you will learn:

  1. How to change the credentials of the administrator account.
  2. How to create a role.
  3. How to create a user account.
  4. How to create a publisher.
  5. How to create an advertiser.

How to change the Administrator account credentials

The Administrator account was created when you signed up for AdButler. It has access to and control of all aspects of your AdButler account. You cannot create additional Administrator accounts, but you can change the email address associated with the Administrator.

Creating a role

A role is a set of permissions. Each user account must have a role associated with it. There is a default role that you can customize and assign, but you can also make more roles and change the designated default role. When you make changes to a role, those changes will immediately be applied to all users with that role.

  1. Click on Roles near the bottom of the left navigation menu. The Roles section will appear.

  3. Enable your desired permissions for the role. Some of the permissions have details. Click on (more) to see the details about that permission.
  4. Click Save. You will be taken back to the table of roles, with the role you created added to the table.
