2024 In Review and Looking Forward!

AdButler’s 2024 in Review

Hello everyone! For those who don’t know me, my name is Rob, and I have the privilege of serving as the Head of Product here at AdButler. Over the last 8 years, I’ve witnessed incredible changes in the ad tech space and have been proud to lead our team through continuous innovation and growth. Today, I’m excited to share a look back at what we accomplished in 2024 and what lies ahead as we step into 2025.

Highlighting Our Commitment to Retail Media

Our 2024 journey was defined by a clear emphasis on retail media, an area that has seen exponential growth and interest across the industry. We’re proud to share that we secured new partnerships with influential retail customers, underscoring our commitment to providing premier ad-serving solutions tailored to the unique needs of the retail sector.

To strengthen our presence and deepen our understanding of industry trends, we invested in attending and participating in some of the biggest retail-focused conferences, including eTail, ShopTalk, and DMEXCO. These events provided invaluable opportunities to showcase our solutions, build connections, and understand the evolving needs of retailers and publishers alike.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue this momentum into 2025. Our plans include attending ShopTalk Spring, ShopTalk Europe, GroceryShop, ShopTalk Fall, DMEXCO, and various publisher summits. Our presence at these events underscores our commitment to staying at the forefront of retail media and fostering connections that drive innovation.

Expanding Our Team

In 2024, we also made significant strides in expanding our internal team to better serve our clients and community. One of the key additions to our team was Natasha Shah, who joined us as our new Public Relations Manager and Community Manager. Natasha’s expertise in PR and community building will be instrumental in strengthening our brand presence, enhancing our engagement with clients, and fostering a vibrant community around our products and services. Along with Natasha, we also brought on board a content marketing specialist to build out our content and continue to maintain our blog, and the AdButler Academy.

We expanded our development team significantly and continue to find like minded engineers and developers to grow our engineering team.

Lastly, we've had several new faces join us on both the sales, and support teams to better support our customers.

What’s Next: Q4 2024 and Q1 2025 Initiatives

As we head into the final quarter of 2024 and look forward to Q1 of 2025, we are focused on several ambitious projects that will enhance our platform and expand our capabilities:

  1. Advanced Real-Time Reporting: While we have always offered real-time reporting, it's been aggregated to the day by ad-item or product and log level data has been historically updated at the end of the day. Throughout the rest of 2024, we’re investing heavily in more sophisticated real-time event reporting. These enhancements will empower our users with deeper, actionable insights into their advertising performance, helping them make data-driven decisions with greater ease, all in real-time down to the individual ad-item, product or SKU.

  2. Analytics, CRM and 3rd party Integrations: Expanding our integration capabilities, we’re working on seamless connections with powerful data applications like BigQuery. This will allow users to easily access and analyze vast amounts of data, opening doors to more advanced analytics and custom reporting.

  3. Innovative Ad Formats: We’re developing outstanding new ad formats designed specifically for on-site monetization, catering to both retail and general publishing needs. These formats will offer engaging user experiences while maximizing revenue opportunities.

  4. Expanded Partner Integrations: To ensure our clients have the tools they need right out of the box, we’re broadening our integrations with both new and existing partners. This initiative reflects our dedication to streamlining workflows and enhancing the overall user experience.

  5. SAML Single Sign-On (SSO): Building on our existing SSO options with Okta and Auth0, we’re introducing SAML SSO to provide even more flexibility and security for our clients’ authentication needs.

  6. Global Market Reach: We’re also making significant strides to extend our presence in the EU and AU markets, reinforcing our commitment to serving a global clientele and meeting the unique needs of regional customers.

  7. Relaunching the AdButler Podcast: We've had this on our radar for some time now and now with our new Public Relations Manager at the helm, supported by an excellent producer, we'll be launching the AdButler Podcast again in late 2024.

Looking Forward

The year 2024 has set the stage for an even more dynamic 2025. With our continued innovative product development, and global expansion, AdButler remains committed to empowering our clients with the most effective and advanced ad-serving solutions available. We can’t wait to share more exciting updates and see our partners thrive with these new capabilities.
